Jackson Baker-Pement (he/him) joins Lumos Transforms as an Administrative Assistant, working across Lumos’ Community Programs and Certification divisions. Born and raised in Southern California, he brings both organizational precision and a genuine passion to the work of collective liberation, and is excited to contribute to a team working at the intersection of personal resilience and systemic change.
Prior to joining Lumos Transforms, Jackson began his professional journey as a Legal Assistant at a construction law firm, where he developed skills in communication, accuracy, and complex systems-level work.
Graduating in 2024 with a B.A. in Sociology from UC Santa Barbara, his educational background has deeply influenced the way he understands people, communities, and the larger social context(s) that affects our lives. Jackson appreciates the way social psychology relates to his work at Lumos, and continually sees parallels between the inner work of individuals and the broader structures that shape our collective experience.
Outside of work, Jackson is drawn to visceral sensory experiences. He is an avid student of music with an ever-increasing physical media collection and loves going to concerts around the LA area. Jackson also discovered his passion for perfumery in 2025 and is excited to continue studying and exploring the art, science and history of fragrance.
