Community Chat with Sonali Fiske

Sonali Fiske is a Sri Lankan-born, California-grown decolonial storyteller, speaker coach, writer, & cultural curator whose work lives at the intersection of story, identity, liberation, & belonging.
For more than a decade, she has helped women, leaders, healers, founders, & culture- shapers excavate the stories beneath the stories — the ones shaped by migration, ancestry, power, grief, rage, silence, & the long work of becoming more fully ourselves. A former TEDx curator & producer, Sonali now coaches folks to bring their most necessary ideas into public conversation without shrinking, sanitizing, or severing them from the lived experiences that gave those ideas meaning.
Her work is rooted in a belief that storytelling is not simply a communications tool; it can be a practice of reclamation, witness, & collective imagination. She is especially interested in what becomes possible when we unlearn dominant narratives, recover ways of knowing that have been minimized or erased, & begin telling the truth with greater courage, complexity, & care.
She is also the writer behind “Roots & Reclaim” on Substack, where she explores origin, diaspora, identity, healing, ancestral memory, and the complicated journey of coming home to self.
Join us for our next Community Chat! We’re thrilled to have Sonali Fiske joining us as our special guest, hosted by Gia Mariam Hasan. We’ll dive into a deep discussion for 30 minutes followed by a 15-minute Q&A session where you can ask your burning questions.
Our Community Chats are all about sharing ideas and learning from each other in a safe, inclusive space. Whether you’re looking for a little inspiration, ready to soak up some wisdom, or want to just connect in community, this is the perfect opportunity.
